Today is September 11, and the italian sent me the Sean Penn segment of the film. Ernest Borgnine's performance is amazing. I don't think it is possible to watch this and not cry.

howl
This film looks adorable! Mad Men, but with Allen Ginsberg? Cute! I have always loved a historical biopic. And James Franco.
And Mary Louise Parker.

a single man

last night E and M and I finally saw A Single Man. so sad and beautiful, with incredible performances.

amazing costume and set design (from the people who bring us Mad Men), and a gorgeous John Lautner designed mid-century modern house as a backdrop.
although it was interesting to me that such a powerful meditation on consequences of the invisibility of homosexuality was marketed by a campaign that waxed ambiguous around the relationship between Colin Firth and Julianne Moore.

do you think it s romantic to die for love?
