today marks three months since the arrival of the riceball. it's hard to believe how quickly the time has flown - but in other ways it seems he has always been with us!

since the riceball's arrival has made it almost impossible for me to bake, i decided to exercise my sweet tooth muscle (teeth have muscles?) by making a trifle. Admittedly, not so much baking as assembling (although we could pretend I made it all from scratch, right?)

when an unfortunate confluence of cat-vomit and washing machine shrinkage left me minus a chair seat cover this week, i was a little bit devastated. fortunately, some helpful advice from my mum and a handy youtube video later

and i was able to remedy the problem with some old curtain fabric i had lying around. a fun project for a rainy monday!
