baked goods

Normally I eschew muffins as the chicken of the baked-goods aisle - not a cake, not a bread, a non-committal inbetweenyness that is unhealthy but also insufficient to salve a sweet-craving. But inspired by urban vegan - and making the most of the super delicious giant blueberries in season now - I whipped up some blueberry-cornmeal muffins (from vegan with a vengeance). And I have to admit - totally yummy, especially when enjoyed with a side of True Blood goodness.

rolex centre, lausanne

After the fantastic SANAA exhibition we saw in Copenhagen, S and I were inspired to head down to Lausanne and visit the Rolex Centre at the Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne, which we followed with a lovely emerging photographers exposition at the Musee d'Elysee. Needless to say, the light in Lausanne was beautiful today.

The boy and I finally took a long-planned trip to Vals, in Graubunden, to visit the Peter Zumthor designed thermal baths. Both the baths themselves (pictured below, but not photographed by me cos cameras are banned) and the scenery in Vals was amazing.
